In the intensive biz trip, accidently stopped by Amsterdam due to 6 hours transfer time. My last visit to the city was early 1999, 8 years ago.
I was just graduated from university. The well known open society drove me to walk around so-call Red Light District. It was like 8pm. I followed crowded walking into that area. Frankly speaking, I was unable to lift my head and looked around. First, I walked there alone; plus I'm Asian. I felt like being watced; not those girls in the shop. Then I saw a group of school girls touring by their teacher or guide, whatever. I followed them walking in the narrow streets and alleys. Though I got lost once, finally I was back to hotel safely. It was a fun and special experience.
This time, I went there with the other three colleagues, all men. It's like mid-day. Most of the shops were closed. I felt much comfortable walking and looked around coz there were many tourists walking around as well. Maybe my colleagues felt not that fun due to walking with a female co-worker. They couldn't judge or say what ever they wanted to say.
There is an unwritten rule, don't take the photo of the shop girl. However, I accidently took one. She was angery and slapped on her glasses. I was so sorry but still can't help to keep the photo. You may try to find out which one is taken accidently from the album.
